Local business organizing wildfire relief 

LUBBOCK In the wake of the devastating wildfire impacting Ruidoso, Family Powersports, with locations in Lubbock, Midland, and Odessa, is stepping up to support those affected. The dealership is organizing a wildfire relief package drive, encouraging the Lubbock, Midland, and Odessa community to come together and lend a helping hand.

“Our hearts go out to the families and communities impacted by the Ruidoso wildfire,” Colby Richardson, general manager at Family Powersports. “We want to do our part to help those who have lost their homes and belongings in this disaster.”

Family Powersports Lubbock is accepting donations of the following essential items now through 6 p.m. June 26:

  • Non-perishable food items
  • Bottled water
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Diapers and wipes
  • First-aid supplies
  • Clothing (new or gently used)
  • Gift cards to grocery stores or department stores

All collected donations will be delivered directly to Ruidoso to assist those in need.

“Even a small donation can make a big difference for those who have lost everything,” Tanner Griffin, general manager for Family Powersports Odessa, said in a news release. “We encourage our community to join us in supporting our neighbors in Ruidoso during this difficult time.”
