UTPB men’s basketball guard Azairah Seay was named this week’s Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
The senior from Montgomery, Ala. averaged 24.5 points per game for the Falcons last week as they picked up a pair of home wins over Cameron and Midwestern State.
On Thursday, Seay scored 24 points in the first half against Cameron before playing sparingly in the second half.
In 26 minutes against the Aggies, he scored 31 points while shooting 63.2 percent (going 12-of-19).
On Saturday, Seay added 18 points, six rebounds and three assists against Midwestern State. He scored nine 3-pointers.
UTPB defeated Cameron 102-73 and Midwestern State 79-76, moving the Falcons to 10-9 overall, 4-6 in conference play.
