The Odessa College baseball team had two players earn All-American recognition Tuesday by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Redshirt sophomore outfielder Kyler Castillo was named a first-team All-American and freshman infielder Ivan Melendez earned third team honors.
Castillo was a big part of the Wranglers offensive attack in 2019, leading the team in batting average (.460) while posting seven home runs, 53 RBIs, 74 runs and 20 stolen bases.
As for Melendez, the El Paso native led the team in home runs (17) and RBIs (70) while compiling a .411 batting average. The Wranglers finished the season with a 38-22 overall record.
