Fort Davis Grand Companions Humane Society announced today a $2,500 grant investment from the newly named, Petco Love, to support their lifesaving work for animals in west Texas.
Petco Love is a nonprofit leading change for pets nationally by harnessing the power of love to make communities and pet families closer, stronger, and healthier. Since their founding in 1999 as the Petco Foundation, they’ve empowered organizations with nearly $300 million invested to date in adoption and other lifesaving efforts. And, they’ve helped find loving homes for more than 6.5 million pets in partnership with Petco and more than 4,000 organizations, like ours, nationwide.
“Today Petco Love announces an investment in Grand Companions Humane Society and hundreds of other organizations as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” said Susanne Kogut, President of Petco Love. “Our local investments are only one component. This month, we will also launch the first of our national tools to empower all animal lovers to drive lifesaving change right alongside us.”
“It truly takes a village to help the staggering number of pets in need. We are grateful and proud to have Petco Love supporting Grand Companions and our west Texas communities as we work together to end the needless euthanasia of pets,” said Laura Langham, Executive Director of Grand Companions Humane Society.
Grand Companions Humane Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people save, honor, and connect with pets in need while serving west Texas and beyond. Since 1989, Grand Companions has pioneered the world’s only Suite Sweet Shelterã designed to honor pets in need by providing the best possible care while in our shelter, partnered with over 30 government shelters, private shelters, and rescue groups to reduce shelter overcrowding and possible euthanasia by transferring their pets into our programs, and rescued over 8,000 pets.
