The Falcons won the final two sets to defeat the Hilltoppers, 25-10, 23-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-13, in Lone Star Conference play.
UTPB improved to 11-10 overall and 6-4 in conference and earned a split on the road trip after falling to St. Mary’s on Friday in San Antonio.
The Falcons are currently eighth in the conference standings, with just eight teams qualifying for the playoffs this season.
St. Edward’s dropped to 6-15, 3-7.
UTPB returns home for matches against Texas A&M International on Friday and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday, both at the Falcon Dome.
