The UTPB women’s soccer team lost its first game of the season with a 2-1 loss to Fort Lewis College Saturday at home.
Fort Lewis scored two late second half goals to overcome a 1-0 deficit and come away with the win.
Goals by Haley Stafford and Anna Tucker in the 86th and 88th minutes, respectively, gave Fort Lewis College its second win of the season as the team moved to 2-1-1.
UTPB struck first when Cassandra Ramirez scored in the 55th minute to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
UTPB (1-1-1) finished with 13 shots total with four on target while Fort Lewis had six shots total and four on target.
The Falcons will next face Wayland Baptist at 5 p.m. Sept. 19 in Plainview.
