The UTPB women’s basketball program kicks off its 2021-22 campaign against Colorado Mesa University at 5 p.m. in the South Central Regional Challenge at West Texas A&M in Canyon.
The Falcons will face South Dakota Mines at 5 p.m. Saturday to cap their opening weekend.
Coach Rae Boothe begins her fifth season at the helm of the program and has recruited a freshman class of six players that combined for more than 7,000 points during their high school careers.
Adding to the Falcons’ depth is the return of Holly Hemmeline, who garnered All-Lone Star Conference third-team and All-Freshman team honors for her play during the 2019-2020 season. Hemmeline did not play last year.
