CANYON UTPB’s women’s basketball team saw its season get off to a rough start with a 62-52 loss against Colorado Mesa Friday at West Texas A&M.
Rory Carter led the Falcons with 13 points, with Avalon Munoz grabbing six rebounds in the loss.
Daniella Turner scored a game-high 18 points for Colorado Mesa (1-0), with Mariah Martin, Kelsey Siemons and Monica Brooks all finishing with 12 points in the victory.
