HOBBS, N.M. The No. 8-ranked Odessa College women’s basketball team began the season with a 66-63 win against Barton Community College Friday on the road.
The Lady Wranglers were led in scoring by Eberechukwu Egbirika who had 26 points, going 9-15 on field goals and 8-15 on free throws.
Jaedyn Cook had 10 points, going 4-10 on field goals and 2-2 on free throws.
Arminda Joaquim had nine points, going 4-6 on field goals and 1-2 on free throws.
Barton Community College was led in scoring by Alaina Eck’s 18 points, going 6-12 on field goals and 3-4 on 3-pointers and 3-4 on free throws.
Odessa College will next face Trinidad State College at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hobbs, N.M.
