SAN ANGELO The UTPB women’s basketball team couldn’t stop its winless streak in Lone Star Conference play Tuesday, falling by a 71-55 score against Angelo State.
Ogechi Nwodo led the Falcons with 17 points, followed closely by Holly Hemmeline who scored 14.
The Rambelles had five players score in double digits, with Blakely Gerber leading the way with 17.
UTPB trailed Angelo State by three points at the end of the first quarter, but lost control after being outscored 14-6 in the second period.
Angelo State outscored the Falcons 37-32 in the second half to secure the win.
UTPB (4-16 overall, 0-8 conference) will travel to face Western New Mexico at 2 p.m. Saturday in Silver City, N.M.
