EUGENE, ORE. Midland native Bryce Hoppel is returning to the Olympics after winning the men’s 800-meter final at the Olympic Trials Sunday.
Hoppel finished first in a time of one minute and 42.77 seconds.
This will be Hoppel’s second consecutive appearance in the Summer Olympics, which will take place in Paris next month.
