Midland-Odessa Sockers FC announced Tuesday it will be inactive for the 2022 National Premier Soccer League season.
Additionally, the team is up for sale as it looks for a new investor for the 2023 season. Dues have been paid for the upcoming NPSL season, which “holds” the team’s spot for the 2023 campaign.
The majority ownership of the Sockers is the same as the Midland RockHounds. The decision was made to allow the staff to concentrate on the RockHounds’ home schedule, which runs April through September.
