MIDLAND Sockers FC bounced back from its first defeat of the season with a dominant 5-0 victory over the Fort Worth Vaqueros in a National Premier Soccer League Friday play at Grande Communications Stadium.
The five goals are a season-high for the Sockers (5-1-3, 18 points).
Halil Yilmaz led the way for the Sockers with two goals, including one in the fourth minute of the match.
Stan de Vries added a goal and an assist for the Sockers while Brandon Duarte and Alonso Rodriguez also scored.
Morgan Miller and Cian Foley were also credited with assists in the victory.
Sockers FC closes the regular season July 10 against the Denton Diablos back at Grande Communications Stadium.
