LAREDO Sockers FC saw its season come to a close as it fell 3-0 to the Laredo Heat in the NPSL Lone Star Conference semifinal Wednesday at the TAMIU Soccer Complex.
Riccardo Turcis scored two goals for the Heat, one in each half, with Elias Perales scoring the final goal in the second half.
The Sockers finished the season 5-3-3 with losses coming in their final two games.
Laredo advances to play the Denton Diablos for the Lone Star Conference championship Saturday in Denton.
