PARIS Bryce Hoppel has advanced to the semifinals in the 800-meters in the Paris Olympics.
The Midland native took second in his heat Wednesday, finishing with a time of one minute and 45.24 seconds.
Spain’s Mohamed Attaoui took first in the heat in a time of 1:44.81.
The semifinals will begin at 4:30 a.m. Friday.
