MIDLAND The Midland RockHounds will embark on their second road trip of the season this week when they travel to Springfield, Mo. for a six-game series against the Cardinals beginning tomorrow.
The series will begin with a 6:35 p.m. contest on Tuesday and wrap up with a 1:35 p.m. game on April 23 at Hammons Field.
The RockHounds are coming off their first home series of the season which wrapped up with a 9-5 win over the Tulsa Drillers.
Midland currently sits at 4-5 overall this season and is in third place in the Texas League South Division, just one win out of first place.
The Cardinals are looking to make a quick turnaround as they sit at 3-6 and are in last place in the Texas League North Division.
Springfield is coming off a split doubleheader against the Arkansas Travelers from Sunday in which the Cardinals won the first game 10-5 before losing the second contest 6-4.
Midland’s next home series will be next week against Corpus Christi, starting with an 11 a.m. contest on April 25.
