TULSA, OKLA. The Midland RockHounds capped off its latest series on a good note thanks to a 6-4 victory over the Tulsa Drillers Sunday at ONEOK Field.
Jake Suddleson and Edwin Diaz each hit three-run home runs in the top of the second and third innings, respectively, and that proved to be enough for Midland (40-38) to salvage a split of the series against Tulsa.
Diaz finished the afternoon with three hits for the RockHounds while teammate Devin Foyle had two hits, including a double.
Jesus Zambrano pitched three perfect innings and struck out three to earn the save for Midland.
James Outman had two hits and drove in two runs to lead the Drillers (41-37).
Midland is off Monday before starting a six-game series at the Wichita Wind Surge starting at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at Riverfront Stadium.
