FRISCO The Midland RockHounds were held in check in the final game of its season-opening road series, falling 4-1 to Frisco Sunday at Riders Park.
Midland (2-4 overall) managed just two hits against the RoughRiders pitching with the lone run coming in the top of the fourth inning on a home run by Jonah Bride.
Frisco took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth with a pair of runs and added one run in both the sixth and eighth innings. Jordan Procyshen finished 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored to help the RoughRiders (4-2) clinch the series.
Midland is off Monday before opening up a six-game home series against San Antonio starting Tuesday at Momentum Bank Ballpark.
