MIDLAND The Midland RockHounds fell to the San Antonio Missions Tuesday at home.
The game came at the start of this week’s six-game series against the Missions.
The Missions scored four unanswered runs to complete the comeback.
Trailing 4-3 in the top of the ninth, San Antonio’s Daniel Johnson singled on a sharp ground ball to center field, scoring Ripken Reyes to tie the game up.
Then, in the top of the 10th, Chandler Seagle singled on a ground ball to left field, scoring Michael De La Cruz and Connor Hollis.
Ripken Reyes then singled on a bunt ground ball to first base, scoring Ray-Patrick Didder.
Midland pitcher Austin Briggs took the loss on the mound while San Antonio’s Michel Baez was credited with the victory.
The RockHounds are now 19-15 for the season while the Missions moved to 17-17.
Midland remains at the top of the Texas League South Division standings while San Antonio is in second.
Both teams will be back at it Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
