MIDLAND The Midland RockHounds extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a 2-0 victory over the Corpus Christi Hooks Friday at Momentum Bank Ballpark.
Five Midland (17-11 overall) pitchers combined to allow just four hits and strike out 13 Corpus Christi (11-16) batters in the victory. Zack Erwin ended up earning the victory for the RockHounds while Aaron Brown earned his second save of the season.
Mickey McDonald had two hits to lead Midland as he and Logan Davidson drove in both RockHounds runs.
The series continues at 7 p.m. Saturday back at Momentum Bank Ballpark.
