SHREVEPORT, LA. It wasn’t the way the Odessa Jackalopes wanted to return to the ice after a two-week break, dropping a 3-0 decision against the Shreveport Mudbugs Friday at George’s Pond Hirsch Coliseum.
The loss dropped Odessa to 25-15-3-2 on the season, second in the South Division.
After a scoreless first period, the division-leading Mudbugs (32-6-3-2) got a goal from Andrew Lane 4:47 into the second period and then added markers from Jack Clement and Cameron Cook.
The teams continue their two-game series at 7:11 p.m. tonight in Shreveport.
