The Odessa Jackalopes were dealt a 2-1 loss to the Lone Star Brahmas Monday in North Richland Hills.
The Jackalopes scored first, taking a 1-0 lead off Adam Armijo’s goal, 15 minutes into the first period.
However, Lone Star responded with consecutive goals of their own in the second period, scoring on Dhillon Wilde’s shot and then taking the lead on Mason Mara’s goal.
Lone Star out-shot Odessa, 28-23.
The victory keeps Lone Star in first in the North American Hockey League South Division standings at 26-4-1-3 with 54 points.
Odessa falls to 15-17-0-1 with 31 points and remains in sixth.
