UTPB has named Carla Tejas as the new women’s soccer head coach, the university announced Monday.
Tejas comes in after having been the head coach at Louisiana Christian College at the NAIA level for one year where she helped orchestrate a big turnaround, taking a team that went 1-16-1 in 2019 to 16-2-1 this past fall and a spot in the NAIA National Tournament.
The Wildcats won the Red River Athletic Conference with a 10-0-1 record and Tejas took home Coach of the Year honors.
She is the fourth head coach in the program’s history at UTPB.
The Falcons are coming off a 2-16 overall record from 2021.
