AMARILLO The Permian girls soccer team won its first District 2-6A game Tuesday night, downing Amarillo Tascosa 3-0 at Dick Bivins Stadium.
The Lady Panthers (12-4-1 overall, 1-2-0-1 district, four points) scored their first two goals of the game in the last 40 seconds of the first half. Kyree Moreno and Kayla Brito scored those goals.
Brito also scored Permian’s final goal of the game with 25 minutes left in the contest. The victory snaps the Lady Panthers’ three-game losing streak to start district play.
