The Permian and Odessa High girls soccer teams face off in their first crosstown-rivalry matchup of the season at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Ratliff Stadium.
The Lady Panthers (11-3-1 overall, 0-2-0-0 District 2-6A, zero points) have lost both of their district games this season after ending nondistrict play with nine straight victories. Permian most recently lost to Wolfforth Frenship Tuesday.
Odessa High (10-5-0, 1-1-0-0, three points) defeated Amarillo Tascosa 2-0 Tuesday to get its first district victory. The Lady Bronchos sit in third place in the district standings coming into tonight’s contest.
Odessa High won both matchups between the teams a season ago.
