The Permian volleyball team will begin the second round of District 2-6A play when it hosts host Midland High at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Permian Fieldhouse.
The Lady Panthers (21-12 overall, 0-5 in district) remain in sixth in the district standings after last Friday’s loss against Odessa High in five sets at OHS Fieldhouse.
Permian lost by scores of 25-19, 26-28, 25-19, 19-25, 16-14.
Midland High (21-16, 3-2) is coming off a loss in straight sets against Wolfforth Frenship last Friday, losing by scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-22.
Midland High and Frenship (23-14, 3-2) are tied for third in the district standings.
