The Permian volleyball team got a momentum boost before shifting its focus to the Class 6A playoffs, defeating Wolfforth Frenship in five sets Tuesday at the Permian Fieldhouse.
The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Tigers 14-25, 14-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-12.
After falling behind two sets, the Lady Panthers rallied behind key defensive plays from multiple members on the court.
Nyxalee Munoz led the Lady Panthers with 14 kills and 25 digs, followed by Jade Workman who posted 13 kills and 16 digs.
Permian (29-14 overall, 6-6 District 2-6A) finished the regular season on a three-match winning streak and will face El Paso Franklin in the bi-district round of the 2021 playoffs on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. in El Paso.
