ABILENE The Permian volleyball team defeated Abilene Cooper in five sets Tuesday in the team’s final nondistrict contest.
The Lady Panthers won by scores of 22-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-19, 14-11.
Permian was led in kills by Bridgit Smithee who had 24 while Mylah Arzaga had 10 and Maiya Morgan had eight.
The Lady Panthers (21-7) will begin District 2-6A play against Midland High at 5 p.m. Friday in Midland.
