MIDLAND The Midland High softball team defeated Odessa High 5-2 in District 2-6A action Friday on the road.
The Lady Bronchos led 1-0 at the end of the fourth inning before Midland High scored five unanswered runs in the fifth inning.
Odessa High had six hits while Midland High finished with 13.
The Lady Bronchos now sit at 5-15 overall, 0-3 in district play while Midland High is now 19-8, 2-1.
The Lady Bronchos will next face district leaders Wolfforth Frenship (17-7, 3-0) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wolfforth.
