EL PASO Permian’s Sincere Galindo finished eighth in the floor exercise on the final day of competition at the 2022 Texas High School Gymnastics state championships Saturday at Rockwall High School.
Galindo posted a scored of 8.15 for a three-day total of 26.10.
Clayton Staunton of Highland Park scored 9.25 on the event for a combined score of 28.30 to capture the individual crown, with Diego Aguilar of El Paso Hanks finished second at 27.90.
William Langston of Rockwall was third at 27.80.
Galindo was the only ECISD athlete to reach the individual finals.
