The Wolfforth Frenship football team remained in the playoff hunt with a 46-44 win over Permian Friday at Ratliff Stadium.
The Tigers (5-2 overall, 1-2 in district) used a late field goal by Drew Cox from 32 yards out with 2:32 left. Permian fell to 4-4, 1-2.
Permian running back Juztyce Lara had 30 carries for 242 yards while quarterback Jakob Garcia went 5-of-9 passing for 48 yards.
Frenship quarterback Hudson Hutcheson went 22-of-26 for 406 yards passing.
The Panthers will be back at Ratliff Stadium next week for a 7 p.m. contest against San Angelo Central (1-7, 0-3) Oct. 27,
