Permian’s Harris Sewell intends to announce his college commitment at noon Wednesday, according to his Twitter.
The highly regarded offensive guard narrowed his list of preferred schools down to five in April to include Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M.
Sewell is currently ranked 65th on the Class of 2023’s ESPN 300 and held various offers from high level Division I programs across the country before trimming his list.
He helped the Panthers reach the area round of the 2021 Class 6A playoffs and received honorable mention recognition on the Texas Sports Writers Association’s Class 6A All-State team for his efforts last season.
The offensive lineman was also a first team All-District 2-6A selection in 2021.
