EL PASO The Permian football team defeated El Paso Eastlake in a 56-49 win Friday on the road.
A touchdown from Luke Paradeaux with 34 seconds remaining ended up making the difference and Ian Rylee’s interception sealed the deal for the Panthers.
The Panthers now sit at 2-0 for the season while Eastlake sits at 1-1.
The back-and-forth contest saw both offenses dominate.
Both teams were tied 21-21 at the half and 35-35 at the end of the third quarter.
Permian will be back at home against Abilene High at 7 p.m. Thursday at Ratliff Stadium.
