The Compass Academy football team landed in District 1-3A Division II alongside Alpine, Crane and Tornillo after UIL realignment.
The district is one of only two in the state to have four teams and all schools will face each other twice in district play.
It will be a double round-robin setup, with each team playing a home and away game through the season.
The district dropped from five teams to four with Anthony moving down to Class 2A Division I.
