GRAND PRAIRIE The Permian boys cross country team finished sixth and the girls were 11th at the Ken Gaston XC Invite on Thursday.
Julian Cruz paced the Panthers with a 19th-place finish in a time of 17 minutes, 1.8 seconds for the 5,000-meter crouse.
Davin Merrill (17:27.4) was the next Permian runner, finishing in 37th, with teammate William Zambrano (39th) clocking in 17:31.
Briannah Garcia continued her strong season for the Lady Panthers, finishing 21st in 20:52.7.
