ABILENE The Permian boys basketball team saw its season end with a 53-43 loss to North Crowley in the Class 6A regional quarterfinals Tuesday at Abilene High.
A strong second quarter saw Permian take a one-point lead into the halftime break, holding North Crowley to nine points in the period.
North Crowley took over the game’s momentum by jumping ahead in the third quarter and sealed the victory by outscoring Permian 15-7 in the fourth.
Jamobrione Anderson led Permian with 24 points, while KD Davis had 13 for North Crowley.
Permian finished the season with a 26-9 overall record, defeating El Paso Franklin and Keller to advance to the third round.
