The Odessa High and Permian boys basketball teams needed a coin flip to decide their postseason fate after closing out District 2-6A play tied for second place.
Odessa High got the favorable side of the flip, getting the chance to host its Class 6A bi-district round matchup while the Panthers will be traveling.
The Bronchos (24-8 overall) will host El Paso Eastwood at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the OHS Fieldhouse and the Panthers (24-8) will face El Paso Franklin at 7 p.m. (CST) Tuesday in El Paso.
Both Odessa schools suffered losses to close out their regular seasons, with Permian falling against Wolfforth Frenship and Odessa High stumbling against San Angelo Central.
Before the losses, the Bronchos and Panthers were on respective hot streaks.
Permian had won five consecutive games and Odessa High strung together three wins in a row.
