EL PASO El Paso Pebble Hills used the long ball to win twice against Permian in a Class 6A bi-district playoff series Saturday at El Paso Socorro High School’s Forbes Field.
The Spartans hit a grand slam in Game 2 to propel them to a 12-10 victory and then used a two-run home run in the sixth inning of Game 3 to earn a 5-3 triumph to win the series.
Permian won Game 1 on Friday, 10-9, with a run in the bottom of the seventh at McCanlies Field.
