After suffering an 11-9 loss against Midland Legacy in their series opener, the Permian baseball team will look to bounce back against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at McCanlies Field.
The Panthers are currently in first place in the District 2-6A standings, while Midland Legacy is in third.
The Rebels jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in their first matchup Tuesday, seeing Permian score eight runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
It wasn’t enough as Midland Legacy was able to maintain its lead with timely hits.
Permian comes into the second game with a 23-5 overall record and 12-2 mark in district play, while Midland Legacy sits at 16-7, 7-4.
