ABILENE Odessa College golfer Will Adams finished tied for 10th as play concluded during the 93rd West Texas Amateur Sunday at Abilene Country Club’s South Course.
Adams shot a 2-under-par 70 in the final round to finish with a three-day total of 215 (72-73-70). He also finished tied with Midland’s John Ironside (73-70-72—215).
Midwestern State golfer Garrett Leek shot a final round 69 to win the tournament by one shot over Texas Tech golfer Jansen Smith (71-65-70—206).
Monahans graduate J.T. Pittman (70-72-74—216) finished tied for 13th while Midland’s Davis Seybert (75-74-70—219) and Kellen Young (71-70-78—219) finished tied for 20th.
