WACO The Odessa College softball team earned its first victory of the season, an 8-0 win against McLennan Community College, Saturday at the Battle on the Bosque.
Morgan Dutton was 2 for 2 with one run scored and four RBIs to pace the Lady Wranglers (1-2).
Rayna Cruickshanks earned the victory, striking out three and allowing three hits in the five-inning, run-rule victory against the No. 2 Lady Highlanders.
The No. 3 Lady Wranglers close out their season-opening weekend with two games Sunday.
