The UTPB volleyball team received a pair of first place votes in the Lone Star Conference preseason polls, the league announced Tuesday.
The Falcons were voted to finish sixth after a season that included a run to the Lone Star Conference semifinals and wins over two nationally-ranked teams.
West Texas A&M was picked to finish first, receiving 21 first place votes while Angelo State (11 first place votes) was picked to finish second and UT Tyler was picked to finish third.
