The UTPB volleyball team was picked to finish tied for ninth in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll which was released Monday.
Defending LSC Tournament champion West Texas A&M was picked to finish first in the polls while Dallas Baptist was picked to finish second, followed by Angelo State.
UTPB was picked to finish tied for ninth alongside St. Mary’s and ahead of Oklahoma Christian.
The Falcons are coming off a 17-10 overall, 8-8 in conference, record from last year.
UTPB enters the season led by first-year head coach CJ Allard.
The Falcons will begin their season Sept. 6 against Central Oklahoma at a tournament in San Angelo.
