FORT SMITH, ARK. The UTPB volleyball team went toe-to-toe for the first four sets, but couldn’t match the host’s intensity in the fifth set as Arkansas-Fort Smith earned a 15-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-21, 15-5 victory in Lone Star Conference play Saturday at the Stubblefield Center.
Aquincia Strambler led the Falcons (9-5 overall, 4-2 in conference) with 14 kills, while Isela Murillo added nine in the loss.
Analise Lucio had 23 assists, with Daylee Doggett finishing with 14 assists.
Reagan Macha had a match-high 15 kills for Arkansas-Fort Smith (8-9, 3-5).
