The UTPB volleyball team defeated Western New Mexico in five sets Monday at Falcon Dome.
The Falcons won by scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-16, 23-25, 15-8.
UTPB improved to 12-5 overall, 3-3 in conference play while the Mustangs fell to 4-16, 0-8.
UTPB’s Logan Terrazas had nine kills and seven blocks while Gloria Guerin had nine kills and two blocks, Mya Black, nine kills, one block and Aaliyah Gray had seven kills and five blocks.
UTPB will next face Eastern New Mexico at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 in Portales, N.M.
The Falcons will remain on the road the following day with a 2 p.m. game against Lubbock Christian.
