LUBBOCK The UTPB volleyball team remains undefeated at this week’s tournament as the Falcons defeated Oklahoma Christian 3-2 Friday at Lubbock Christian.
The Falcons moved on to 9-1 overall while Oklahoma Christian fell to 6-4 as the teams played in a nonconference matchup.
UTPB won by scores of 23-25, 10-25, 25-23, 25-10 , 20-18.
The Falcons were led by Chrya Thompson who had 12 kills while Aaliyah Gray had 10 and Reann Cato had three aces.
Thompson also had eight blocks and Devin Alcoser had 22 assists.
Gabby Gregorski had 16 digs.
UTPB’s other win in the tournament came against the hosts, Lubbock Christian in a five-set victory on Thursday.
The Falcons will finish up the tournament with a 12 p.m. contest against Texas Woman’s University.
