The UTPB volleyball team canceled its home opener against the University of the Southwest Wednesday.
The Falcons were originally scheduled to play the Mustangs at 7 p.m. at the Falcon Dome and will now play their home opener against Western New Mexico at 2 p.m. Saturday.
UTPB (5-3) will go right into Lone Star Conference play after winning three of its last four nonconference matches.
Analise Lucio currently leads the Falcons with 235 assists, while Aquincia Strambler paces the team with 94 kills through eight matches.
