UTPB men’s tennis player Enrique Sanchez was named the Lone Star Conference Men’s Tennis Academic Player of the Year the conference announced Wednesday.
Sanchez, a senior from Muriedas, Spain, played No. 1 singles for the Falcons and was four singles matches and seven doubles matches.
To be eligible, players must have played in 50 percent of the team’s contests, reached their sophomore season, completed at least one full year at the school and have a minimum 3.30 GPA throughout their collegiate career.
