The UTPB softball team will host St. Mary’s in a Lone Star Conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. Friday at UTPB Field.
The Falcons (16-21 overal, 3-13 conference) will be looking to snap a 12-game losing streak against the visiting Rattlers (28-7, 12-4).
Valerie Gonzalez leads UTPB with a .388 batting average and 29 runs scored, followed by Mia Quintero (.358) and Sydney Bishop (.333).
Quintero leads the team with six home runs, while Julia Bumford has driven in 32 runs this season.
