Tiala Tagaloa won’t return as UTPB’s softball coach, the school announced Wednesday.
Tagaloa was at the helm of the program for eight seasons, leading the Falcons to a 21-30 record this season.
UTPB finished one game out of a Lone Star Conference playoff spot after suffering two losses against Western New Mexico to close out their regular season April 30.
The school announced that a national search for a new head coach would begin immediately, with assistant coach Tony Saldivar serving as the interim head coach.
